Please note that private lessons are only open to chess players who have already achieved a certain level of competency and commitment (see requirements page for details). All of the coaches in this program work together. Often a student works with multiple coaches simultaneously. This is a team effort, where our motto is, "The kid always comes first". I believe that our work is of value and all of our services are totally guaranteed. If you are not satisfied with any of our services, there is no cost. --- CCL team finishes 2nd in 4545 League T45 ---

We keep doing well in the International 4545 chess league. Although we continue to have strong performances, that first play finish keeps eludiing us. in this league our top result was a fine 2nd place finish by our U-1400 team Whatitisiswhatitis . The team included CCL players Anagh, Ryan, Sam, and Maggie.. There were 20 teams in this league.

--- Coach Goran dominates in major Ohio tournaments---

During his visit to Ohio this summer, CCL coach IM Goran Vojinovic took first place in the two major Ohio tournaments that he competed in. In the Gem City Open, Goran came in tied for first with Grandmaster Alex Goldin. In the Columbus Open, Goran came in clear 1st place.

--- Maggie wins two national championship---

At the National All Girls Chess Championship Maggie won the 10 and under division. An impressive result when you notice that she finished in sole first place and is only 9 years old. She then followed it up by going to Las Vegas and taking clear first place (with a 5-0 score) in the 2010 All Girls Championship in the girls U-11 section..

--- CCL team finishes 2nd in 4545 League T44 ---

in this league our top result was a fine 2nd place finish by our U-2000 team 4HourLifes. This is the 2nd time that 4HourLifes earned a 2nd place finish. The team included CCL players John, Jeffery, Wei, and Walker. There were 24 teams in this league.

--- CCL dominates at 2010 Queen City Classic ---

For the 3rd consecutive year, CCL won the top section at the Queen City Classic.... the biggest scholastic tournament in the MidWest. On paper, it looked like we were be challenged this year but such was not the case. CCL had a comfortable lead throughout the whole tournament. In addition to winning the team trophy, Walker finished 5-0 taking individual honors. This year we also entered a team in the K-3 Open section. We had the team trophy won after only three rounds, finishing in 1st (Luke 5-0), 2nd (Ryan), and 3rd (Jay) places individually.

--- CCL team finishes 3rd in 4545 League T43---

This season our top result was a fine 3rd place finish. This time it was our U-1400 team, 4HourLives. Again this was a total CCL team composed of Arjun, Anagh, Luke, Garrett, and Jay.. There were 22 teams in this league.

--- Great finishes at the National Grade Levels---

A few of our members made the long trip to Dallas for the National Grade Levels. Some of our top finishers were by Anagh scoring 6 points and coming in tied for 2nd place amongst 3rd graders across the country.  In the 4th grade section Abhi scored 5.5 points  and came in tied for 6th place.  The clear 1st place winner in the 4th grade section was fellow CCL 4545 player, Jeffery (jefferyx) Xiong.  In the 8th grade section; the CA team of John, Rahul, and Garrett came in 4th place, with John being the top scorer on that team and coming in tied 2nd place at the 8th grade level.

--- CCL finishes high at the 2009 state grade levels ---

We brought back 5 state grade level championships to CCL this year. That is amazing for such a small program. Below are our players who finished with at least 4 points.

1st place – Andrew Zhang 4.5-.5 - State Champion
6th place – Abhi Ramaswamy 4-1
8th grade
1st place – John Hughes 5-0 - State Champion
2nd place – Nikhil Vinay 4-1
3rd place – Rohit Joshi 4-1
11th grade
5th place Harsha Chandupatla 4-1

--- CCL team finishes 2nd in 4545 League T42---

For the 2nd League in a row, we had a team finish in 2nd place in this International Chess League. This time it was our U-2000 team, 4HourLives. Again this was a total CCL, composed of John, Vik, Jeffery, and Rahul. There were 21 teams in this league.

--- CCL team finishes 2nd in 4545 League T41 ---

Congratulations to Whatitbelike for finishing in 2nd place in the International 4545 U-1600 league. This has been by far our best finish to date. 28 teams participated in this division. A great accomplishment by this totally CCL team. The team was composed of ---- board 1 = Rohit, board 2 = Walker, board 3 = Abhi, board 4 = Zappy, board 5 = Wei
